There is a certain amount of uncertainty ahead as we head into the season of summer 2021. This includes the way we will serve the society will incorporate the highly valued human connection that Rotary participants had in previous time. The mantra "hands face space" is going to be a key element of our routine, but it's clear that there is a growing optimism and the need to be face-to-face with people. Rotary's changed. There is still a level of uncertainty moving through summer 2021. It remains to be seen if those human connections Rotary members valued during the past will remain. Although the "hands looking outwards" principle is certain to become part of regular routine at the club it is clear that the feeling of security is growing and more members have been able to make connections face-to-face. The reality is that Rotary has changed. Rotary's network creates relationships lasting. The Pandemic was an impetus for us to take on technology. We've honed the way we conduct online meetings for our business as well as reintroducing service and social activity with a secure face-to-face setting. To build a vibrant new future, we've embraced these new opportunities and blended these with our most successful pre-pandemic behaviors. In a recent Rotary survey it was heartening to find that 75% of clubs have started making plans for their "business regular initiatives" The summer months are full of members out and about focussing on initiatives such as beaches and rivers being cleaned, trash picking, and of course our ongoing support to society from Rotary volunteers who volunteer their time and energy to help COVID vaccine and test centers. While I'm extremely proud to see that Rotary Centre continues to support the communities of Great Britain and Ireland, Rotary Centre continues to support the many community projects which benefit participants of Rotary and help keep them safe, compliance and Insurance is essential. Our members' creativity and ingenuity when finding solutions to some of the toughest challenges is astonishing. I am thankful for the opportunity that Rotary provided me in 2002 to become an official member. Rotary is also able to provide me with a great group of people who are like-minded.
